Risk Disclosure
Using STARC and related smart contracts involves substantial risk of loss. Digitize only what you can afford to lose. This notice is not exhaustive.
You can lose some or all digital assets used with STARC. Prices can go to zero. There are no guarantees of liquidity, profit, or recovery.
1. Smart-contract risk
Launch, vault, seeder, helper, and DEX contracts may contain bugs, economic design flaws, or unexpected interactions. Audits (if any) reduce but do not eliminate risk. Upgrades, migrations, and parameter changes may introduce new issues.
2. Market and token risk
- Tokens may be illiquid, extremely volatile, or worthless.
- Early buyers and bots may still have advantages despite wallet caps and launch windows.
- Creators and third parties may make false or incomplete claims about a project. STARC does not endorse launches.
- Market-cap, volume, and chart data can lag or be wrong; do not treat UI metrics as truth.
3. Liquidity bootstrap and LIVO risks
Discovery and LIVO use a liquidity bootstrap before or alongside Uniswap. You may be unable to exit at a desired price. LIVO continues primary issuance after the pool is live; primary and pool prices can diverge, and arb is expected. Defense vaults and fee sinks do not guarantee price support.
4. Network and infrastructure risk
- Chains can halt, reorg, or change fee markets.
- RPC providers can rate-limit or fail; transactions may stuck or revert.
- Indexers and the Interface can be offline while the chain remains usable through other tools.
- Arc Testnet and other experimental networks may reset or deprecate state.
5. Wallet and operational risk
Phishing sites, malicious approvals, compromised extensions, and leaked keys can drain wallets. Always verify the URL and transaction details. Revoke unused approvals when appropriate.
6. Regulatory risk
Laws around tokens, offerings, and interfaces vary by jurisdiction and change over time. You are responsible for determining whether your activity is lawful. STARC does not provide compliance advice.
7. No insurance
Losses are generally not insured. There is no deposit guarantee, no mandatory buyback, and no obligation for STARC contributors to reimburse you.
8. Acknowledgement
By connecting a wallet and signing the acceptance message, you confirm that you have read this Risk Disclosure together with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and that you accept these risks.
